S&box, developed by Facepunch Studios, is a game creation platform built on Valve's Source 2 engine. It offers a seamless ecosystem where players can create, play, and share games, ranging from shooters to platformers, without the need for server setup or installations. Its standout feature is the Play Fund, enabling creators to earn revenue directly from player engagement, funded by cosmetic purchases.

Community-Driven Game Library

S&box hosts a diverse and ever-expanding library of community-made games. From racing and horror to genres without established names, players can instantly jump into any game with a single click—no downloads or subscriptions required. Multiplayer functionality allows friends to join effortlessly, with no server management necessary.

Intuitive Game Editor

The platform features a modern game editor with a C# API and real-time hotloading, making game creation accessible for both novices and experienced developers. With its standard scene system, users can design and publish games directly to the platform, or soon even launch standalone titles on Steam without engine royalties.

Source 2 Engine and Cosmetic Customization

Built on the same engine as Half-Life: Alyx and Counter-Strike 2, S&box ensures robust performance and modern capabilities. Players can also personalize their experience with cosmetics that carry across all games, adding a layer of continuity and identity to their sandbox adventures.
